  • Pro Flo Chip numbers

    Here is the list of what each chip application is for the Pro Flo system. They are based on intake cam duration @ .050" lift.

    Small Chevy kits 3500, 3503, 3507
    #3511 Stock - 210 degrees
    #3512 211-220 degrees
    #3513 221-230 degrees
    #3514 231-240 degrees
    #3515 ZZ3, ZZ4, 385HP Fast Burn, Crate Engines
    #3516 241 - UP + degrees

    289-302 Ford kit 3521
    #3522 Stock - 224 degrees
    #3523 224 - UP + degrees

    Ford 351W kit 3541
    #3544 Stock - 224 degrees
    #3546 224 - UP + degrees

    Big Chevy kit 3550, 3551
    #3552 Stock - 224 degrees
    #3554 224 - UP + degrees
    #3555 ZZ502CI Crate engine

    AMC kit 3530, 35631
    #3552 Stock - 224 degrees
    #3554 224 - UP + degrees

    Big Chrysler kit 3508, 3509
    #3552 Stock - 224 degrees

    I am using a Crane 113901 cam (.427"/.454" - 260/272) in a 383 stroker Chevy engine build. I have a Pro-Flow 3500 kit.
    Bite-Me suggested I should look for a #3512 chip, but the cam duration at .050" is intake=206 and exhaust=218. Your chart
    says this would need the stock #3511 chip. Which one would you recommend?

      You go by the highest number. 218. So you use #3512 that's good for 211 to 220.

              I Have 383 sbc chevy stoker engine with Edelbrock performer RPM 7102 Camshaft, Duration at 0.050’’ lift: intake 234 degree, Exhaust: 244 degree. So which chip Is needed for my Camaro?

                #3516 is the one you should order.

                  They are based on intake cam duration @ .050" lift.

                  Disregard any Exhaust cam duration for choosing a chip.

                    could you kindly tell why to choose #3516 and not #3514, which is recommed to intake 231-240 intake?

                      The chips have a +- of 10 degrees, from their posted duration. The Maximum HP is around 450-480 for the Pro-Flo system, and minimum vacuum is around 10" at idle for the #3516.

                      The Edelbrock camshaft ( #7102 ) will have a idle vacuum of around 11", and make around 420 HP.


                      The important aspect is the idle vacuum. Yes #3514 will match the camshaft. But for some reason my gut is saying that the #3516 is going to be easier to tune with....I'm seeing more, and more people getting a lower vacuum, then what they are supposed to be getting.....AKA a small vacuum leak, they can't find, or just not advancing the idle timing ( 18-22 ).

                      You could actually get both chips, and use the one that works best with out having to adjust to much on the idle side.

                        OK, I have the recommended chip for my cam in my 3500 system on a chevy 383, trying for 500hp, so I got 46# or 44# /hr injectors from a guy on ebay, (450 hp is supposed to be the limit with the stock system and 28#/hr injectors)
                        I THINK my chip is a 3515 or 35 16, I am still using the performer roller cam, with trick flow 195 heads. Do I need a different chip based on the bigger injectors?

                          So No cam change = No Chip change
                          Don't get too caught up in the numbers.
                          Just give the Engine what it wants &
                          Let the numbers be what they are.

                            I am running a 3522 chip on a 347 ci ford (302 block). I believe the cam has 218 intake duration. I see that the 3522 chip is for 289-302. Should I be running a chip for a 351 ci to better match displacement? I had a shop tune my engine and their comment was that they had to make a lot of fuel setting modifications and thus they did not think the chip was a good fit. Any input is much appreciated.
