  • fuel pump will not power up

I have a 3500 Por-Flo on a 1972 GMC Jimmy. It has the original engine with this system on it. It has been setting for about four years now. I tried to start it to move it. I noticed that the fuel pump wouldn't power up to pressurize the system. So I checked the following. Fuse(good) relay (good) Checked power at the pump when key is on (no power) disconnected the fuel pump for the system and hooked up 12v battary directly to the pump(Good). When the ignition is turn on the controller to the unit will power up. Any ideas?

The relay will send power through the Orange wire. If no power is coming out of the Orange wire. Then the connections need to be looked at, or the relay is bad.

Some systems used a Second relay and fuse. You might to want to see if your system has this.

How's your car right now? Check also if your fuel pump is working properly.

        Sounded more like the connectors.
