  • Heimholtz resonator & pro flo 4

Odd question but hear me out. I have a 69 Camaro with 406 SBC. The exhaust was very drony so I made some custom helmholtz resonators. You can read about them here:

They totally fixed my drone but I am wondering, if I were to go to a pro flo 4 system, could that cause an issue with the O2 reading? I've read that exhaust leaks can wreak havoc so I just wanted to check if these could as well. They don't cause a leak, but they reflect the sound wave back to cancel out the drone frequency. They are installed after the mufflers.

    Thanks.

my thought is that back pressure is good for the 0-2 sensor for a better sample of the exhaust

There used a lot on the boats I work on.....boats with 2 full size bathrooms, and even washers, and dryers....I do not work on boats that can be put on a trailer.

      Anyway.
They won't effect the O2 sensor.
