  • O2 sensor location

Does this look fine for the angle of the O2 sensor or do I need to move it to a more vertical position?

    Looks ok.
But why does the collector gasket look off center?
In my neighborhood, if you open your hood to check your oil, and the vehicle still runs after you close it.......Then your labeled the Neighborhood Mechanic.

Good eye man, yep there’s a leak right there. Gonna replace the gasket.

I also went ahead and did the butane O2 test with the tablet and it worked well, responding quickly to the butane going down to 11:1 AFR and back to 22 when I take it away.

Try using Remflex exhaust gaskets. They work really well.

Better yet, a hacksaw and ball sockets. Goodbye gaskets!

Installed some Mr. Gasket aluminum gaskets, reset the learning and it's running like a raped ape!
All parameters look good and the FT came down a lot, I was getting that up to 22 before but now it's around 7.
That seal made quite a difference!

Ticking sound probably went away too.

Despite my numerous google searches, I've yet to discover how a "raped ape" actually runs. I assume with it's head hung low?

Only issue I’m having now but doesn’t actually seem to impact the driving is that I had the wife monitor the tablet while we took it for a spin and every time on deceleration she noticed the AFR going full lean. it goes right back to normal when I give it any throttle. This is a F100 with a 428 FE and a Tremec 5-speed

any setting that I need to check? Thanks

That's just how it should behave over the decel cut off rpm when the injection is shutted down.
