  • Pro flo 4 initial start up.

    Hi,

i recently completely redid my 396 bbc and installed a new hydraulic flat tappet cam. For my first start up, i need to bring rpm to 2500 for 20 minutes. My question is, should i run start up wizard, then unlock timing, then start engine and rev it to 2500 before ajusting to 12 btdc or just start it before running wizard ?

    Thanks

Pick a Calibration map from the last pages of the instruction manual, and install it.

Install the distributor like it says in the manual.

Turn the ignition key on to prime, and test fuel pressure.

Then start-up, and break in the camshaft.
In my neighborhood, if you open your hood to check your oil, and the vehicle still runs after you close it.......Then your labeled the Neighborhood Mechanic.
