since we installed the efi pro flo 4 on our amc 401 the tachometer doesen't work properly ....... if we connect same to the ecu cable doesen't give any sign of life, viceversa if we connect same to the coil it works but then if u turn off the engine it continues running ..... anybody knows how to tacle the problem ..?

    You 12v power backfeeding the PF4 .
Disconnect anything aftermarket to PF4 1st----does it shut off ?
Don't get too caught up in the numbers.
Just give the Engine what it wants &
Let the numbers be what they are.

You need to post a diagram of what you have, and how you are wiring it.
In my neighborhood, if you open your hood to check your oil, and the vehicle still runs after you close it.......Then your labeled the Neighborhood Mechanic.
