Main battery power and ECU memory

I have a master battery switch. Can the main power be connected after the battery switch? If the power is shut for a couple of months while the car is in storage, will be ECU memory be retained? What is the power draw for the ECU in off position?

I keep my battery switch off while vehicle is not in use. The ECU retains its memory without power. As to the power draw while off I can’t answer as I haven’t measured.

do a search on this forum. this appears to be what was effecting me. You have to run the ECU grd wire to the cut off switch post NOT the battery grd lug.
