O2 Sensor Okay in Header Collector?

Previous owner has bung in collector already. Is it okay to use that location or should we move it back a few inches?

I have the instructions that show the orientation to the exhaust as you have illustrated. The angle on the collector mounted bung is in that range but I want to be sure collector mount is okay.

I would move it back a foot from where the tubes come together in the collector so it gets an accurate reading as all the exhaust from each cylinder on that bank has time and or space to mix. My 2 cents.

Mine is mounted into the collector, no issues.

I went ahead and put it 6" behind the collector with the proper angle. Thanks to all that replied.
