Going to be forced to swap to electric fans. My mechanical fan would hit the ductwork coming to the throttle body.

These show the hood clearance on a 69 charger with a factory hood and 440. There is more clearance than it looks like in these pictures. I'm gonna say 1" is the closest spot which is drastically better than my last setupComment

Sure, I was planning to list the stuff I use to plumb the intake once I get it fabbed up. I am planning to cut a hole in the inner fender so that I can run the filter in cool air for the intake. I have looked into the Torque Storm superchargers and also a Pro-Charger setup from the supercharger store. I decided against the Torque Storm setup for a few reasons. The install went really good and easy. The other things have slowed me down, it's the busy time of year on the farm. I have also relocated the battery to the trunk, added electric fans, ect. I finished up the plumbing for the air inlet. The air filter is mounted directly in front of the drivers side tire. Hopefully it will get some cooler air over there.Comment

The TorqueStorm doesn't flow a lot of CFM (this is why they offer a dual supercharger setup) which means I would have to spin it faster and I would prefer a larger unit that I could spin slower to provide the same CFM / PSI. The other reason is I have talked with them on the phone a couple times and the guy was a little rude once. If he is a little rude when I'm a potential customer then I would imagine it would be bad after the purchase. If I go with a supercharger it will be a procharger from the supercharger store. They have a great reputation from what I have seen.
I am now thinking about leaving it naturally aspirated and putting in a small stroker crank and making it a 505 cu in. I can't leave anything alone, even when it functions just fine. Any of these options will be a few years down the road.Comment
