  • Gen 2 Coyote no start/stall condition

.Edelbrock Pro-Flo4+ Gen 2 coyote. Stock motor, manual trans. Edelbrock P/N 36160. Car will crank, fire off and stall immediately. Have double triple and quadruple checked every connector, wiring is solid, even tried direct to 12V feed to a separate battery with good constant 13.5V. Fuel pressure is firm at 58-61psi. Coils fire, verified with noid light. All diagnostic lights are green, Not sure where to go from here, anyone had similar issues? Edelbrock phone tech was less then helpful, Is there any other coyote Pro-flo users in here? I must be missing something somewhere. Just want this thing to run.

Put the PINK/BLACK wire on a toggle switch. Other end of switch goes to battery Positive.
If this fixes the issue. Then connect it to a wire from the ignition switch that's hot in the Run/Crank position....it needs to be uninterrupted!

Did you follow the instructions for the brake switch?......make sure its not connected to the always hot side of the brake switch.

Pink/Black routed directly to 12V + bypassing the ignition switch, isnt that the same thing, just minus the toggle switch?

Brake switch is wired correctly and operational, tested with programming app during initial flashing of tune.

        Just saw this.....

Am I reading that correctly, this coyote needs a GM throttle body to work correctly? Would the wrong throttle body cause a instant die.

          That's a 100% typo.....only Pro-Flo 4 ( not the + ) uses GM originally designed parts, on none GM motors.

What pedal, throttle, and Calibration map are you using?

                You can't use a 2018-2020 throttle body.

Use only the "listed" parts that the App says to use, during the setup procedure.

Check connections: Make sure that all connectors are carefully checked and properly connected. Check for damage or oxidation of the contacts on the connectors. If necessary, clean them and make sure they are securely connected.
Check the fuel system: Make sure the fuel pressure is within the recommended range. Lack or low fuel pressure can lead to starting problems and engine stalling. Also check the fuel filter for blockage.
Check wiring and electronics: Check all wiring, sensors, and throttle position sensors (TPS). Make sure the wiring is intact and the connections are secure. If you have access to a diagnostic scanner, check for errors that may indicate electronics problems.
Consult the manufacturer: If the problem remains unresolved, it is advisable to contact Edelbrock technical support. Explain your situation to them and provide all available details. They can offer specific advice and help you find a solution.
Communicate with other owners: Look for forums, online communities or social networks where other Coyote Pro-flo owners are sharing their experiences. Perhaps someone has already encountered similar problems and can share their advice or solutions.

Swapped to FR3E-9F991-AA off a 2017 F150 this morning, reflashed ECU with fresh 15-17 coyote tune with the correct throttle body listed, same exact problem, car will crank (very strongly) fires right away, then stalls. If seems as if something is killing spark after it starts. Checked compression just to be sure and its rock solid, fueling isnt an issue, verified by pressure and smell coming from exhaust.

Already called, after waiting on hold for half an hour, got a little bit of lip service, not exactly helpful. Had more/better feedback in the forums.

Have you sent in a video of the Tablet during event?
Don't get too caught up in the numbers.
Just give the Engine what it wants &
Let the numbers be what they are.
