New Guy Questions

I have a 2000 GMC Yukon with the 4.8L (Vortec 4800 LR4)....I want to give it a little more but in all of the vast information on the internet I have been unable to figure out where the best place to start would be. Any suggestions??

Also, which of Edelbrocks top end kits match up to this engine????

I'd start with exhaust, a set of shorties and a muffler upgrade.
