just curious, will the edelbrock 20224 Performer Air-Gap Intake Manifold and Carburetor fit under a 1979 stock corvette hood

Check your current hood clearance. Make some cones with modelling clay and set them on top of your air cleaner, then shut the hood. If you have over 3/4" of clearance it will fit. It's a little over 1/4 taller than stock and you need 1/2 of running room on top.
