I was reading in the manual that anytime you change a camshaft, the ecu chip will need to be recalibrate to change these settings. is there a link that anyone can send me so i may send it in? or is there an alternative?

You are partially right, Edelbrock sells 6 ECU chips that are linked to the duration of the cam. I would remove your current chip and read the number on the chip. Then you need to check with edelbrock and see if it is the correct chip for your cam. If it is not, you can order a new one from Edelbrock. I think they are about $50
