need ecu chip base standards changed

hello everyone,

i just finished doing a proflo 3500 conversion in my 69 nova with a 383 with 10.5:1 compression and a 244/244 degree with .510/.510 lift cam. i bought the system used from an older gentleman who had a 350 with roller cam and 190cc heads. when starting the engine, i was unable to lean it out enough in order to get the rich light setting to turn off at idle and throughout the rpm range. I was reading in the manual that anytime you change a camshaft, the ecu chip will need to be recalibrate to change these settings. is there a link that anyone can send me so i may send it in? or is there an alternative?

You are partially right, Edelbrock sells 6 ECU chips that are linked to the duration of the cam. I would remove your current chip and read the number on the chip. Then you need to check with edelbrock and see if it is the correct chip for your cam. If it is not, you can order a new one from Edelbrock. I think they are about $50
