I recently installed a 600 cfm performer caberator on my chevy 350 with performer intake.... I cranked it over and it started running rough so I attempted to adjust the idle screws and the carberator caught fire and it took a fire ext. to put it out... It melted the choke wires and the accelerator pump shaft.... I took the carb back to schucks where it was purchased and they wouldnt do anything for me.... I put my old Q-jet back on and it runs fine again.... What should I do or think about my first experience with Edelbrock Carberators.... I hear that it is a great carberator and that I just had a stroke of bad luck with my purchase..... But i cant just keep forking money out to burn.....
