I have an edlebrock (of coruse) fuel pump# 1725. ,it has the down shot plate for an easy install and use.

My problem is a leak at the bottem of the fuel pump small leak I am sure it comes from one of the 2 CENTER blots/screws.

I am thinking about getting the repair kit# 1799 it has all the internals and gaskets I might need ,but I am not sure if it will fix the leak.

Will " O " rings on the allen bolts work to stop the leak ?

Has this happened to anybody else and what did you do to fix it?

After reading the manuel and repair specs, I got the pump to work right.

The rocker arm had to be pushed down before and during final tighting of bolts to 25 lbs. to keep the Diaphragm from being over extended.

Note:You can use extra long hex, alen bolt with nuts for the ten out side bolts should the threads on the upper housing get damaged or striped.

The leak was handled with some medium Strength thread locker I let it sit for 2 days before I tried it again.

It works fine but I notice it wastes, NO wrong it "uses" a bit more gas.

I hope this helps any one with the same problem.
