I have a proflow 3500 that I bought used. I am getting ready to install it and was wondering if the camshaft in my 406 sbc will work ok. Its a crane saturday night special. .502 in .516 ex dur @.050 238int/244exh. It has 106 lobe separtion. If it matter I am also using 1.6 ratio rockers.

You will have a hard time tuning that combination. Edelbrock recommends at least 112 deg of lobe sep. Your vacuum at idle will be very low making it very tricky to tune.

So any lift and duration as long as lobe separation is at least 112 deg? Thanks for the info.

Not necessarily. It's the amount of overalap that's the biggest problem. As a rule of thumb, if your setup pulls less than 10" vacuum at 1000 RPM idle, you will have a hard time tuning it with the original Pro Flo system (or any aftermarket EFI setup that uses manifold pressure as the load indication).

That's a pretty big cam but should work fine. It probably won't start really pulling hard till you are above 4500 RPM.
