Hopefully my last question for a while. Up until now, with a carb setup, I have relied upon a Jacobs Electronics nitrous mastermind attached to a Hi-6 ignition, to regulate retarding the timimg upon nitrous application.
I now am changing to EFI, MSD 6A-2 ignition, and the nitrous mastermind, if needed. Which is the best method of controlling the timing. Will the EFI system compensate for any of the commands from the other two sources, in regard to timing.
Many thanks for your continued information.

Sorry, the Pro Tuner system does not currently support any kind of switched retard function. You'll have to use some kind of external means for that.

I can easily attach a retard control to the ignition, but if I retard the timimg
5 degrees would that not also change the pulse to the injectors.
I need my hand held as well.
Thank you very much. You really are a saving grace.
Alan.

No. Fuel injector phasing and ignition timing are completely separate. You will be fine using a stand alone ignition box for your retard function.
