Flo pro xt 3557 on a zz454 gm crate motor

I cant get the motor to run more than 5 or 6 seconds. I loaded the 3571 cal map the one listed for a big block , the only one! When it starts it rev's up a little than falls flat. The fuel pump is working and my dist. Is set for #1 cyl. I have rechecked everything i can think of. Need some help!

Can you list your camshaft specifications? Specifically the intake duration at 0.050" lift.

the cam in this motor is as follows (.510" intake-- .540" exhaust @50)
211 intake and 230 exhaust with 112 lobe center.

OK. That cam is a lot smaller than the one used to develop the 3571 calibration. Try the attached file. Download it. Unzip it and save it in your c:\Power to win\Maps directory. Load it just like you did the original file. Before you start it, turn the key on and restore your cal mod changes back to the BASE setting.

I installed the new cal file and the motor fired up and runs, but it is way rich.
i cant set it to 1500 to set timing. Can i set idle fuel before i get the timing set at 10 deg. THANK YOU FOR YOUR HELP AND THE NEW CAL FILE!!!!!!!

Actually, if it starts and runs and you have a dial back timing light, you can ignore the base timing setting and just watch the Spark Adv indication on the cal module. Loosen and adjust your distributor until the actual timing (measured with your light) matches the SPK indication on the display. Once they match you are done.
