can some one help me my son just put in a edelbrock manifold. is there a differnce between a 1985 and a 1894 motor?

I am sorry to make a double post but after my son found the right engine block numbers we have discoverd that the engine is a 1972 302. And my question from above is still the same. We had bought a edelbrock manifold for a 1985 302. The carb that we bought its part number is 1406 and the manifold is 21214. Will these work with the engine I have.

The 21214 manifold is a stock replacement for 1966 - 1972 (1973 non CA) 289 - 302 V8s so it should work with your engine. The 1406 carb is fine also.
