Edelbrock makes a head for the ford 351C engine which is a bolt on for the 351M and 400 engines. There are millions of them out there.

These heads are great but no one makes pistons that will mate with them and produce a squish area and an acceptable Compression Ratio (CR).

No one, well no one much, builds these engines as the open smog combustion chambers just don't work well, in the power or gas milage department but with new heads and properly designed pistons the combustion is completely redesigned.

Come on Edelbrock. You already make the heads, how hard could pistons be? If you can't make 'em get someone else to and offer 'em on the same page.

I've been working on this engine family a while, and heres the solution...You use/order pistons for the 351 cleveland ( same bore ). you need to get your rods machined to except the pins of thecleveland piston. do a google theres some more specific info on the net...I intend on doing a 400 down the road sometime....I'm in love:D with the torque they make..good luck
