Hey all, Im new on these forums and i saw this was the place to post general questions so here goes
I have a 1976 camaro (Type lt <-- also wondering if anyone knows if that meens anything performance wise) it has a 350 engine 400 transmission (matching #s) From what ive seen its all stock so im hoping to find somehow to increase performance in my car.
ive got about 1000 to spend what would you guys recomend parts wise, Anything that would add torque to my engine would be great :D as i prefer torque to horsepower. Im still a novice in cars, This will be my first project car and i really want to make it a formidible force on the street.
i have 2 main questions to ask
First being "should i keep the car with its original engine or should i take that engine out and put in a bigger engine such as a 383 or a 400?
2nd being what kind of supercharger would be best for a street legal muscle car (if there are any)
sub Questions would be
would a carb made for a 400 engine fit on a 350?
putting a blower on a muscle car a good idea?
Thanks for your time all,
Roger
