victor jr on 5.3

i got a 5.3 with ls1 hot cam 1.8 roller rockers msd coils and wires i just bought a victor jr intake and somebody told me it would hurt me instead of help does anybody know if this is true

What do you plan on doing with the engine?
If it's for a sand buggy that goes to 6800rpm it will be great!
If it's for a 4wd Suburban you won't like it at all.
Everything else is in the middle.
